Clearly MMT in support of the status quo is an evolutionary dead-end. The right will continue to argue for the necessity of unemployment to curb the demands of labor, and will advocate the abolition of minimum wages, workplace regulations and the social safety net.
Progressive measures, whether they take the form of a JG mechanism, a guaranteed minimum income, or income redistribution, will continue to be opposed.

MMT, if it goes mainstream, will end the deficit hysteria. But it is becoming clear that all of the policy implications of MMT are progressive in nature.
